+The alignment table (also known as the panel table) is the master list of all entities to be audited.  For example in a retail store auditing program the alignment table would include all of the stores.  The alignment table serves as the source of entities to be assigned to a particular audit.
+Each workgroup area is limited to one master alignment table that can be shared across multiple audits. From time to time there may be a need to run an audit using a different set of entities than those that are included in the master alignment table.  In that case, a project-based alignment table can be created and used. The only significant difference between using the master alignment table (workgroup level) vs a project-based alignment table is that the project-based table cannot be shared across multiple projects.
+The base configuration of the alignment table includes a number of standard fields (name, company, email, telephone, language...) and fifty custom definable fields.  The number of custom fields can be increased as required from time to time.
+The alignment table is often used to facilitate rolling up individual records at multiple levels.  For example a retail store application may have stores rolling up to branch, district, region, zone and chain.
